E-governance of Indian Government Praised

What is Web Ratna?
I do not know.
But Mahafreed Irani of Times of India has praised the achievements of the e of the government.
How had I desired to write it but the person has already done it.
Irani, have you checked and watched the digital library of India. Is it functional after numerous URL changes. But, its aim of having million books online is really commendable. But I am not sincere to my country. I do not now make any attempt to check it at all. Last time I visited it and managed to access it I was very happy. I made some noting in praise on my other blog and also placed a posting on education forum of UK in Indian section. But a user there wrote such a critical comment on it, that now I desist from discussing any online source in the forum which is from India.
Apart from that, major work of archive digitization is being done by foreign institutions for India.
Secondly, I have stopped visiting the government sites except for upsc.gov.in. I do not visit the site nic.in which now takes you to Indiaimage.nic.in.
As far as my quest for online libraries and information, I use CIA fact Book and takes help from Gov. Schwarzenegger, the Terminator. I just love to look at his photographs though I never understand what he is saying. Rest I visit the California State Library, which has more than one million books online.

The finest and amusing study can be the district sites of different states. Somewhere, they just have links to the private sites. The sites of some districts carry such a content that shows that the District Magistrate, who would have approved the contents did not have any understanding of grammar. The finest thing is that at the end of every site, which is generally constructed by NIC, NIC categorically state that they are not responsible for the information available on the site though they accept that they are maintaining it.

Not only this, take the case of sites maintained by ERNET and their score of associated groups. The UGC site is also included in it. I have abandoned the attempts to visit it. You can easily download a PDF file from there. Even the outputs which you manage to get give you such a print that you wonder that did that look at the original physical document before scanning it.

As far aesthetic sense of the designs are concerned, less said the better.

As far usability of the sites are concerned, worst said would be less.

But, awards are given. Are thinking of giving Bharat Ratna to any of the site.

Mr. Irani well you must have read Amrit Bazar Patrika before joining journalism. (Oh, Amrit Bazar Patrika is not available now. Sorry, I did not know. Well this happens with us because I am history teacher.)Any, it was quite a moderate praise. Keep it up.
