R&AW under Scanner of Foreign Media
Kindly refer to the source below. The R&AW is under the scanner of foreign media. I have already written a post with reference to the Tehlka which one can find through the archive of this blog. The report mentioned below, that is being published on November 27, 2008, which is going down in India history as 26/11 of India as shown having parallel to 9/11, is quite damaging. The worst thing is that it has pointed out sepcifically that even Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has stopped getting briefs from the wing. Recruitment Fraud in name of UK Trade and Investment
It seems that apart from lottery, inheritance, dormant accounts, piles and secret visits, now another fraud is being played. The targetted group are people who have some skilled qualification or higher education.
A most common email inviting application for recruitment in United Kingdom in name of UKTI ( a government organisation), contains an address line "Tay house, 300 bath street, Glasgow,"

But, immediately after that, they ask you to contact their representative in Mumbai and suggest you to pay his fees in range of 450 pounds in order to get support for processing the papers with the council. Hence, it is something which is not all transparent.
In addition to that the photograph which appears in the email, is that of some European official attending some conference. He is not the person in whose name that email is sent.
One of recipient has informed that the emailer had claimed that he had obtained his profile from Naukri.com. The Naukri.com people should also get concerned about such type of frauds.
Let us hope that British Council and British Government should check these people who are operating from Glasgow.

I remember that there was news in 2005 about a seminar on the internet addiction published in the Tribune in 2005. I brought that news item on education forum run by John Simkin and Andy Walker. They followed the topic with their comments.
Now, here comes a realization by the Chinese researchers about the behaviour of internent user of China. China is in news for putting binding on the internet users but even then there are such researches.
The finnest thing is that I located this news nearly five hours back while writing this post. Now, again when I have come on the web, I have found that it is being picked by the Indian media also in a compressed form.
Is there sacracity of news or the fascination with anything Chinese increased. I remember that when after the end of Civil War in America, when 15 Amendement was passed, it was then, that the north states demanded that the Chinese immigrants should be send back. They complained that they were spreading over to all the manual jobs. Now, the situation has changed. They are spreading over to world of concepts and intellect also.
Just a joke. I intend to shift it to Funtoonist.

Is there need to redefine plagiarism

There is a need to re define the very idea of plagiarism. There was a time, just two or three years back when Wikipedia was considered a poor source of information. Now, again and again, we find that there are reports that the articles are virtually lifted from Wikipedia. When Wikipedia came into being, there was lot of criticism. It was promoted as a step towards democratization of knowledge.
In case of Google, when they came with the idea of print.google.com, they faced the cases in court. Now when they they have become books.google.com, they have settled the cases and even they had started with the idea of democratization of knoweldge and supported an economy which works along with free availability of information which could be converted into knowledge by the ability of the person who uses that information.
Now, this news report is referring to a problem in a centre of knowledge which is considered to be the ultimate temple of knowledge.(at least, for this blogger from India, it is like that. May be hangover from colonial period.). But I will again insist that there is need to review the availability of information through new technology. There is a need of new paradigms.

Playing Cyber Sherlock Holmes on R&AW
An article in The Tehelka on R&AW has appeared as a special report in the issue Vol 5, Issue 43, Saturday 1, Nov
ember 2008. It is highly damaging to the confidence of the citizens of the country if the report given in the article is true. The magazine can not be accused of demoralizing article. It is a reality which they have reported as a part of their duty. The R&AW department has remained in news in recent times for all the
wrong reasons. It is, I believe, the fortune of the wing as it is to be called, that general public do not have any perception about the existence and activities of this wing. But, the reputation which it has built by recent news reports is such that no organization could cherish such an image.There are many issues and aspects taken up in the article in the The Tehelka. One issue which attracted the attention of this blogger was the report that there is more detail available on Wikipedia than what is being denied through RTI. On a simple search on RAW, the assertion proved to be perfectly true. There is not only such information which could be called sensitive and detailed and exclusive, but there are enough references to show that they can be taken as authenticated.
The Wikipedia article on R&AW gives a good and comprehensive detail on the intelligence wing. The range and dimensions of the activities of R&AW as covered in the article is really amazing. No doubt, that the article in the Tehelka has not wrongly identified that the Wikipedia article is replete with more deeper information than what is being denied under RTI as may have been tried by the investigator of the magazine and Major General V K Singh. It seems that it is a true case. The use of aircrafts, the area of operations are such information which, I can imagine could have been denied in RTI but they are available there.
In the discussion section, one can locate that how the name of the R&AW was empahsised over and above the acronym RAW. It is surprising to see that in the Indian Media, one generally comes across the term RAW instead of R&AW. In the article of Wikipedia, the editors are very particular that R&AW is used in the titles of every section. Even the article in the Tehleka has used the title “RAW and Rudderless” and no where in the body of the article, the magazine has cared to use R&AW.
If the general public or any reader, who has read this post upto this point, does not find interest in it then he or she may try to remember the sexual harassment case of R&AW officer Nisha Bhatia before the office of PM. I am sure that it will raise the interest of the reader. Now when the country is over occupied with the stories about the MNS versus Biharis, and Bomb blasts, it may not interest them. However, if they just ask one question, that if the Bomb blasts continue to take place in the country and every time the link is either directed to Bangladesh or Pakistan then why do the country intelligence not put a check on them? If it interests the reader then, I take the privilege to continue to tell that this article directed my path on some research over internet. I have come across some of the exclusive posts and blogs on this aspect that it really becomes a web mole activity. Instead of giving my own version, I suggest that one should use http://www.images.google.com/ with the search term Ashok Chaturvedi, Nisha Bhatia, V. K. Sood, R. N. Kao and then some general search on Wikipedia on MI5, CIA, Mossad, ISI and finally same terms on Blogsearch.google.com. One may try technorati also. After the Jet Airways episode, in which, the government was exposed for its weak knees, now such a type of decision of the cabinet seems to be a crude joke.
The Airlines are definitely a part of Hospitality Industry. But, the Cabinet does not have considered different modalities which had already shown its glimpses.
The government should first learn about nursing the industry. It should first learn from some institute some Nursopotality.

I have no enmity with Jet or Respectable Shri Naresh Goel. It is also not the question of the episode which had taken place with employees of Jet Airways in the name of rationalization and cost cutting in an corporate identity. The issues here are much more than Manager Accounts, Manager HR and Managing Director capabilities.
First of all, thanks to God that this nightmare of Jet airways employees had ended within 48 hours with its gravity accentuated to the level to which I believe that the whole country had become involved.
There are issues that how the corporate world need to respond to the changing economic scenario. There is need to decide some basic norms concerning employees and employers. The corporate world must understand that it had acquired existence only when some norms and systems were made to take some implicit and explicit places. It came to existence when some rules were established and kings and emperors had assured that they would be followed and the joint stock holders would be given protection. At that time, the employee did not have that status which today a skilled and educated employee holds. Today there are processes which a capitalist may buy but in order to run those processes in order to earn proft, he does not have any knowledge or capability. He should consider himself to be totally illiterate. However, he can make money only when the skilled workers rent his (yes I say rent it) or her skills to the corporate heads. The corporate does not have right of its might. It is now a collective responsibility to earn profit. If the heads know more economics then they better first reduce the bill of their own kitchen before hitting at the empoylees whom they recruit as per their own highly cerebral decision making capabilities. An the owners, who happen to have a lottery of becoming rich that they can speak english by pledging it to their dead emotional anchors, that they are mere card players and nothing more than that. It is luck and comedy that they have become rich and they should learn that they do not hold the worth the parking gate before a community built building.

RTI Commissioner Debits Penalty to the Salary Account of Disobedient

A SAI officer, who took RTI lightly, was made to pay penalty out of his salary.
However, a question arises, how far is such a penalty justified? It has been adopted by Consumer Courts also. People are very enthusiastic at such judgements. However, there is a question of accountability on the part of all of us. How far we perform our duties nicely in capacity of our role in our organizations. On the other hand, as a citizen, how far do we perform are duties?
There is a need to reframe such type of punishments. It should not be only the dealing officer, but whole of the office should suffer it. Everybody should learn that they have to work as a team and perform as a team.
Any how, it is merely a view. Any Cyber naughty mole who visits here may join in comment section.

The harrasment of Shri Ratan Tata is going too far.
TATA group has manufacturing facilities in China also. After meeting the two Ms he will not like to talk to the third M that is Madame Sonia. He is a business man and nothing can stop him from doing business.
The Indians will be foolish if they persist with such an approach. They did not care to object to the survitude for 1000 years when they were first conquered by Turks and then by Nordic race. Now when they are free, they are harrassing their own people ejecting from one place to other. They did not object when ethnic cleansing was carried out against Kashmiri Pandits but they find social issues every time some Indian tries to work on some sensible lines.
It will not be surprising if tomorrow it is announced that now the lakhtakia will be called Ping Pong and manufactured in China and sold in India at half the present rate. Glee.

Community Help In India

The Liver transplant was carried on seven month Sivojit Paul in Kolkota at Apollo Indraprastha Hospital, which is to be the youngest recipient of liver transplant in India. Secondly, his operation is a case wherein social security was provided by community contribution to pay the expenses of the operation.
The operating surgeon was Subash Gupta. The child suffered from a condition called biliary atresia, a condition in which a duct linking the liver to the small intestine is missing. In case of the child, a surgery was carried out earlier wherein the link between the liver and small intestine was created. However, even then the liver was gradually destroyed. As a result, his bilirubin level continued to rise impairing the health of the child. Therefore, he required a liver transplant.
The transplant among children suffering from conditions like biliary atresia is generally carried out at the age of one year.
The donor in his case is Indrajit Paul. His mother is Munmun Paul.
The operation is important from another angle as the expenses of the operation was borne by community cooperation of Kolkotta. The Tabla Player Bickram Ghosh and Vocalist Lopmudra Mitra performed in Kolkata for raising funds for the operation of Sivojit Ghosh.
The youngest child to be operated upon for Liver Transplant condition was 19 days old but that operation was performed outside India.

Book Reading Climate!
Dan Abbe of Book Search Support Team of Books Google dot com believes that it is the warm climate of summer which is more appropriate time to read. He knows that in cosy environment inside the house during the winter can also be a good idea for reading. However, he finally believes that it is the summer which is the best time to read.

Even many people, who are established scholars, had done the same thing. But I believe now many of them are using it and adding to it without telling it to the world. They are not paid and MSN they do not mind.
I remember that how the MSN once roped in Aamir Khan with great fanfare on net to grab the attention of the netizens when Mangal Pandey had been released in order to promote their blog service. I believe, now Aamir has his own website with a blog on it.
When I started, I never cared to check how many people had visited me. By the way, do they have this as a right of monopoly to adopt the practices of a successful business and consider that ethics and morality have to be sincerely followed by others. And if others do not do that, they are the self proclaimed moral police. They believe that morality is for others and profits are for them.
Well, I can not write on it further as the clip on msn report is replaying itself and disturbing me.

Lodha heir to M. P. Birla dies in London at the flat of B. K. Birla

Rajendra Lodha was bestowed upon 5000 crores property of M. P. Birla by Late Smt. Priyamvada Birla, wife of Late M. P. Birla.
Presently, there is a dispute on the will of Priyamvada Birla. Secondly, the will which had bestowed upon Late Rajendra Lodha the property of M. P. Birla, is believed to be silent on the heir to Lodha. The heirs to Rajendra Lodha are his two sons and one daughter.

Well it is an old report and a story from the links which I have collected to write all this.
It may not sound civilized to write such a posting. I am doing it in good faith and as I have said here that being a fan, you behave like a child playing with a toy, which sometimes you pamper and other time you wrangle it mercilessly.
However, the
common factor which is being quizzed here is also identified with Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Alva Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Winston Churchill, Keanu Reeves, Albert Einstein and Tom Cruise as per the report mentioned above from it is being.
It is only after the discovery of this report and some research on it that I identify that I suffer from a peculiar malady wherein I shuffle last two words or figures in a long string of words. This has given me embarrassing movement at number of occasions. For example, if I remember a phone number consisting of ten digits, I will shuffle the number at the unit and tenth place.
Anyhow, as per the report, Aamir Khan has made reference to that fact after taking prior permission from Amitabh family. I believe, it is an honour to share a place with Da Vinci, Thomas Edison, Graham Bell, Churchill (no, Being a history student I may not admire him that much.), Albert Einstein and Tom Cruise. I know that I have not mentioned Reeves.
Well, the answer is, the malady of dyslexia.
I must further add, that this feature I have traced through Wikipedia.

When I read th
is news, I smiled with a nasty and an uncivilized thought. I remembered the same old joke, that questioned about the visit of the Lion Uncle from the jungle or visit from home to jungle.
I belong to a generation of later 60s when the Bollywood was dominated by Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Amitabh etc. No doubt, I am a big fan of Amitabh and Jaya.
The news is not in good taste. Whenever anyone from Amitabh Family, gets involved in any controversy, I as a fan, get concerned and preturbed.
But, being a fan is a very different ball game. You believe in playing with your ideal or hero as a small child sometimes plays with his toy which he does not like. He pretends to pamper it and suddenly trys to disfigure it. Here, I I should have not taken so long in making this posting but I was just wondering that had the culprit who tried to trouble Amitabh, approached Jaya ji. instead messaging Amitabh, he could have definitely made some money out of it. Or he should have visited Amar Singh. There could have been a different story. The culprit is a Brahmin kyastha but alas he has not used his brains. These kyastha from Rajasthan and Harayana are not so good. The Kyastha versus Kyastha does not make good story.

Does Google have a third co-founder?
Rajiv Motwani is the Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Stanford.
He knows Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Even Larry Page and Sergey Brin know Rajiv Motwani from whom they had studied before they established their company.
Now their company, Google Inc is worth 100 billion dollars plus on the capital market. Both them hold sixteen billion each out of that market capitalization of the assets of the company.
Now, one Hubert Chang also knows Rajiv Motwani. Chang had also studied and completed his Phd from Stanford. Rajiv Motwani remembers Chang as one the student.
Now Chang claims that he had contributed to the development of algorithm on which Google Search works.

In a PTI news, it has been reported that one Subash Aggarwal has used RTI to learn about the spouses of Dharmendra and Hema. As per the records of the Parliament, the wife of Dharmendra is Parkash Deol and husband of Hema is Dharmendra Deol.
In Punjab, Is it normal to have multiple passports, driving licences, ration cards and ----.? What is the big deal? Dharmendra is a nice guy. Secondly, he has shifted to Mumbai (for him it was Boom Bai, by the way is it now Moum Bai) long back and now Punjab may not stand any guarantee for him.

Google is becoming an elephant but it has to maintain its aggressive dance.
Google is juggling with different ideas to reduce the infrastructural charges like the property tax, large land surface requirement, more energy requirements etc in order to keep its ever open to new ideas attitude alive. As a result, they are thinking of moving their storages at sea on barges. Similarly they may take their servers to the Siberia so that they can keep the heating of the system down. However all such are options which google is evaluating.

The terrorist activity in any form, at any level and in any manner can never be defended.
There should be every effort to support, contribute and participate in any activity of the government to contain the mindset which dominates the cowardly misguided adventurism based on unfounded sanctification and justification.
However, let us hope that there may not come again a ban on some of the ISP and DNS as it had occurred earlier during 11/7 train blast of Mumbai. The Government may do everything possible to impart the citizen the sense of security and security of life. But it should also check that it may not flounder as it has done earlier while monitoring cyber space.

The old sitemeter is back. It is really good that they have brought back. It was the information provided by older version which is even free (though there is paid professional option also) that this blogger has been able to make one of his blog quite popular.
The link of Pilsen of Czech Republic, a far better blogger, gives in a very succinct manner the problem with new version based on flash. I believe for the blogging world, this episode will hold a new message. The message is that it is good to change, improvise and improve but if a system works well then persist with that.

This is a web site launched by a Jassi Kangura, Member of Legislative Assembly Qila Raipur.
The site is being launched to bring in open the cases of corruption. It has invited people to come out with their complaints.
It is a good attempt.
It will be worth watching how far the idea is put into practice.
During the Theodore Roosevelt period, there were a group of journalists and Senators, who tried to bring out the corruption in the American Administration. Roosevelt was highly perturbed by them. They wore the batch of being Muckraker with a pride. It became the force behind the Progressive Movement in American History. Now let us see, how far it goes.
I just remember, that one more MLA, Harish Rai Dhanda started his blog with great promise. But after being elected, it went Phut.

On the other hand, the different sections, wherein the reports of corruption of the failure of the present government of Punjab is to be reported, the email is predominantly asked. It is hoped that if this the shortcoming, then the webmaster may add email to contact them apart from the phone numbers.
