E-Governance at its best under Election Commission of India on February 4, 2017

The elections in five states will take place on February 4, 2017. The usual activities of training up to Polling Station is presently going on. For the Election Commission, it is their day to day activity. But, being a part of this activity at a Polling Station, I get the opportunity to get involved in the activity. It is an occasion to get a peep into the e-governance at its best.

The election has launched an Application/App called RO Net.

Today it is January 31, 2017. From the App, I know where I will be posted on February 4, 2017. The names of the members of my team along with their phone numbers are available. The phone number of the RO along with his name, designation, who is the present Deputy Commissioner of the District is already in its place. I have to just click the icon, and I will be connected to the person. Similarly, the phone numbers and the names of the Supervisor, the local Deputy Superintendent of Police of the area, the SHO of the local thana are already displayed there. The whole electoral Roll, complete with the names and the EPIC numbers is there.

The most fascinating thing was that the ARO, who was entrusted with the task of imparting the training who had kept announcing that the place of the posting and the name of the supervisor would be provided on February 3, 2017. I believe the person had the update it would be updated in the App but somehow the person kept on making such announcement. Or it may be that she was instructed to reveal much about the contents of the App.

If this is the format of the e-governance which is going to come into play in India in the administration, then the day is not far off that the intellectuals and scholars who had declared India a Soft State, will have to revisit their conclusion. They had declared that India is a Soft State because Indians suffer from social and economic indiscipline and there was no near possibility that they could overcome this. With the right absorption of the technology in the Civil Administration, things can change. It is an example that this App is raising the hope that the change is around the corner.

But there is a doubt. What will happen to Juggad Technology of Indians?

अरे भाई भारत की जुग्गाड़ टेक्नोलॉजी का क्या होगा?

However, I will like to make an emphatic caution and express some doubts. While posting this post, I found that the 4g internet connection was not sustaining. It has taken me nearly 30 minutes to log on.  Thank god, the electricity was not interrupted. I had already written on my notepad and then posted it. I can not directly type on blogger. I had some very bad experiences when internet availability and supply of electricity ditched me.

A lot has to be done. India is still a SOFT STATE.

The language and expression are construct of human ingenuity to give linguistic expression to the thoughts which till this day defy the actual perception of their true nature. Now this is also an incredible face of India:

Dismantling the Icons of Power

The October 2 is a national holiday along with Republic day and Independence day in India. This is a national tradition made during the long reign of Congress. That is other thing that common man like Munna Bhai called October 2 as the dry day. Now Namo has made it a Safai day. Similarly there are many other days which were celebrated during the reign of erstwhile government. Those celebrations were seen in the visit of some dignitaries to Rajghat or attending some cultural programmes. However on October 31, Prime Minister was seen running along with the citizens which was a spectacle observed in India for the first time. Now what will happen on November 14? In any case all the power icons which were raised earlier are being reformulated.

Snooping China

As per the report HERE, all your privacy is endangered by the electronic devices which you use. A highly important set of information and data are being transmitted to China and China knows about you everything. It is difficult to ascertain the veracity of this report. However, a credibility is imparted to the news by attributing to the warning issued by the armed forces of India. It is very difficult to save yourself from China. As far my information goes, whether you are using an American or a Japanese product which use and anything based on silicon chips or electronics, they are manufactured or assembled in China. Your cars which now carry more and more chips along with metallic parts are another sources of leakage of information. Now this is really highly fearful and shattering.

Customer Advisory Against Online Purchase

The online purchase is in news. The online stores are announcing 1 billion to 2 billion dollar sales. It translates into 6000 to 12000 crores rupees. That is a huge amount. Then there is another news that the foreign investors are putting in same amount of investment on online stores. Not only this, the courier services like Blue Dart, Gati etc are showing high profits and the voice is that it has been caused by the increase sales of Online stores.

However, in case of many original manufacturer of many electronic gadgets like computer, tablets etc, the companies are issuing Customer Advisory against buying their branded products from such stores. A typical warning reads: "THE FOLLOWING ONLINE STORES NAMELY ******, ***** INDIA, **** INDIA ARE NOT AUTHORIZED RESELLERS OF *** LAPTOPS, TABLETS ETC."

The issue is that they are not ready to extend the warranty for such sales in absence of invoices on the products procured from such sites. This causes harassment to innocent buyers.

Now the questions arise:
1. Who is to be blamed for such sales?
2. Who will provide protection to the customers?

Making Content of a News Report

The motive here is not to take up the news item being referred here. The motive is to see how a report is being displayed by news media in United Kingdom. Check the report HERE which is about an event that had taken place in Australia. The report is being given in United Kingdom.
The attention is directed to the length and depth of reporting. However in India, the content is lengthened but it never try to add to the understanding expect what is said in some of the lines. Same goes on TV Channels. It is amusing to learn that what the reporters on the sight are trying to convey. There is no question of disrespect to Indian Media. The issue is to discuss the quality and content of news reporting.
I know that there are some reporters who are the best in the field. They had told.

Blog Marketing or Barketing

For some months now, I have not received any comment on my different blogs. However, Everyday, I have to spent some time throwing a dozen of comments in spam on different blogs. Some of the posts picked by such comment writers are such, which I cherished would have attracted comments from the serious readers. But there were no such comments. These Anonymous writers have picked some special posts. They really write well or they are picking some set phrases only to use comment section. In any case, I was just wondering that can this activity be used to create some rating of the visitors on net? Alas, I have not studied computers and statics.

Blogs endangered by Spam Comments

A new trend can be watched in field of comments on the blogs. There seems to be a new tag which an uninitiated blogger could easily ignore but that is a direct link to another website. The commentators praises the blogger in terms which even God may not have listen till this day. But they are all frauds. I reject them as spam. I believe the blogger provider which is google itself, may observe this trend.
Earlier there were spam mails and now there are spam comments.

AHR: Advani Historically Right

The victim of social vices in Delhi in 2012 has been observed as a historic turning point in India. Advani ji says so HERE.

It is a hunch that he is right. It seems that the political books have to be re-written in Delhi after realizing the real import of the act of Delhiwalas.

However, a question arises, that why do political leaders get red when Anna Hazare brand them as redundant creatures? Anna ji, it seems that the politicians are good at learning.

Perils of Borrowed Intellect

Lal Krishan ji shares his learning after seven years HERE.

Stupid, It's intricacy of Governance

One of the reporter ShreeKumar has raised some doubts about the credibility of the acts of the government while dealing with highly sensitive and delicate task of handling the victims of social vices. Read the report HERE.

Sreekumar does not know the intricacies of running the government. Stupid, it is the act of governance not an act of writing a report for an online reporting. Go and learn some public administration. Approach Ministry of Personnel Affairs, Public Grievance and Pension for some manual. He may visit Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy at Mussouri for a crash course to fully understand the significance of such acts.

It is warning that if he keeps on raising such doubts about the credibility of the acts of the government in which even the executive head and the head of the ruling party is involved, then, his portal can be banned and blocked. Mind it.

NB> I wanted to place this comment on a different blog but sensitivity of the issue involved made me to write here. Sreekumar is right in raising the questions in his report.

Porn Star in Big Boss

I may a bee headed and depraved mind person. However, I was trying to imagine that how the sensibility of a culture which propitiate Shiva Linga and worship the fertility with mystic and pious approach is going to see the so called openness on Big Boss with a Porn Star.

Will it be a harbinger a new era of genre of Porn Film from India?

Will it start a debate in India for legalization of Prostitution?

Will the Dance Bar Girls be allowed to go back to their profession?

Turks invaded, no body spoke.

The response was a timid Bhakti Movement.

English invaded, no body spoke.

The response was a timid social and religious response. As a result, now we are writing in English, reading in English and wear dress which were never imagined and worn by us earlier.

Now there is a discreet culture invasion of a culture which do not know about its calibration. The flowing hair high class, third page women, speaking not so Indian English and even knowing some two or three more European languages, along with so called unrestrained mind men (how can be unrestrained mind can be a bright mind) will tell us about the duplicity of people who raises eyebrows, show abhorrence for the community which will turn up with their openness and depravity in objecting to their way of thinking.

Where is Agnivesh? Will he be able to realize that how he had played in their hand.

Will Sulman and Sanjay approve it in their own families?

Anna Hazari is trying to reach the people using technology.

The blog world is excited to find another blogger among themselves.

The URL of his blog is https://annahazaresays.wordpress.com/

Anna Hazari had adopted wordpress as his blog provider. It is hoped that it is his official blog. He is also available at Facebook and twitter and Google Plus.

The information is gathered from http://thecommonmanspeaks.wordpress.com/.

Earlier it were celebrities from the bollywood who had been using it. It was highly publicized. Blogger like Amitabh Bachchan had even used to counter his contenders. It seems that he likes this media. Then there were self motivators gurus, print media persons and even people from judicial system who had been using it. But there were days when the blogs were blocked by inconsiderate approach the watch dog.

Blogs are pushed back by social networking site. However, Blog, the e-journal conveys that it has its own existence.

Welcome to Anna Hazare on this medium. The puncher/Keyboard writer for him is in an envious position. Let us hope, he maintains his anonymity and make the postings in manner that the readers of his blog may feel connected directly to Anna Hazare.

It will be interesting to find Arvind Kejariwal and his associates like Sisodia, Bedi et all should also come on this medium.

2006 Syndrome, Failed Indian Ethics and Freedom of Expression

Kindly go through the The Hindu report on Ban on Blog Hosting.

The scenario had escaped me. However, in 2006, I had lived the situation. The same story seemed to have repeated this time.

The stories of level (!!!) of corruption, (being a teacher, in order to get my new pay fixation in sixth pay commission, along with many more teachers like me of Associate Professor level, paid to petty clerks _ Yes I did it, if I am to be sued by the law maintaining machinery, the officers can just call me at 9815233050), failure of RTI law, blatant disrespect to propriety of human commitment to ethics by the elected members, falling law and order situation, increasing noise of hooters not only on the police vehicle but some one having money to buy one along with beacon lights and on and on, have just kept me away from blogging. I missed to suffer this ban if it was there again. The same names of officers are there.

In America, after 1789 constitution, the Union broke in 1860. If the situation in India continues like this then we will suffer the failed democracy at an earlier date.

Now, let us do Parnayama, Inhale, exhale, Inhale, exhale. It is really soothing.

FII Investment and Two figures.

Check two news report in two different print media. The report is about the weekly review of the stock exchange.

The India Infoline at http://www.indiainfoline.com/Markets/News/Sensex-vaults-4.6-percent-in-seven-trading-sessions/3288527781 gives the fii investement in India for 2010 as Rs 21427.85.

To quote the paragraph: "Foreign funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 1932.75 crore in the first few days this month, as per data from the stock exchanges. The inflow has reached Rs 21427.85 crore in calendar 2010."

The Hindustant Times at http://www.hindustantimes.com/Rising-Sensex-raises-worries/Article1-598217.aspx , gives the figure for calender year 2010 as R62,784 crore.
To quote the relevant paragraph:
"Foreign Institutional Investors have already invested R3,402 crore in 7 trading days of September and a total of R62,784 crore in the calendar 2010 till date, showing their faith in the fundamentals of the country's economy."

It is 21427.85 versus 62,784. Both the figures are for the financial year. What is to be believed from them?

Somalia Piracy

The Indian ships and its crew had suffered due to the Somalia Piracy.

However, Why is it there at all?

The Media reporting is such that it presents as if something totally evil is there only because of Somalia and Mogadishu.

The truths seems to be far away from what it is being shown.

Internet as a medium of communication is definitely a boon. However, it is very difficult to squeeze out of internet. You may keep on browsing but end up collecting nothing. In the above lines, I am recollecting what I have been able to learn after five hours of browsing even when Somalia Piracy was not my aim of search.

Where are my books? They are the real blessings.

E-governance of Indian Government Praised

What is Web Ratna?
I do not know.
But Mahafreed Irani of Times of India has praised the achievements of the e of the government.
How had I desired to write it but the person has already done it.
Irani, have you checked and watched the digital library of India. Is it functional after numerous URL changes. But, its aim of having million books online is really commendable. But I am not sincere to my country. I do not now make any attempt to check it at all. Last time I visited it and managed to access it I was very happy. I made some noting in praise on my other blog and also placed a posting on education forum of UK in Indian section. But a user there wrote such a critical comment on it, that now I desist from discussing any online source in the forum which is from India.
Apart from that, major work of archive digitization is being done by foreign institutions for India.
Secondly, I have stopped visiting the government sites except for upsc.gov.in. I do not visit the site nic.in which now takes you to Indiaimage.nic.in.
As far as my quest for online libraries and information, I use CIA fact Book and takes help from Gov. Schwarzenegger, the Terminator. I just love to look at his photographs though I never understand what he is saying. Rest I visit the California State Library, which has more than one million books online.

The finest and amusing study can be the district sites of different states. Somewhere, they just have links to the private sites. The sites of some districts carry such a content that shows that the District Magistrate, who would have approved the contents did not have any understanding of grammar. The finest thing is that at the end of every site, which is generally constructed by NIC, NIC categorically state that they are not responsible for the information available on the site though they accept that they are maintaining it.

Not only this, take the case of sites maintained by ERNET and their score of associated groups. The UGC site is also included in it. I have abandoned the attempts to visit it. You can easily download a PDF file from there. Even the outputs which you manage to get give you such a print that you wonder that did that look at the original physical document before scanning it.

As far aesthetic sense of the designs are concerned, less said the better.

As far usability of the sites are concerned, worst said would be less.

But, awards are given. Are thinking of giving Bharat Ratna to any of the site.

Mr. Irani well you must have read Amrit Bazar Patrika before joining journalism. (Oh, Amrit Bazar Patrika is not available now. Sorry, I did not know. Well this happens with us because I am history teacher.)Any, it was quite a moderate praise. Keep it up.
